A $25.00 manufacturing fee per tag must be submitted via our secure payment process.
An additional $3.00 processing fee per tag is required. This fee is required to cover payment processing fees, and administrative costs to manage funds received.

The State of Georgia MVD requires payment for 1000 Georgia Tuskegee University Tags from the Specialty Issue Tag Sponsor (ATAC). Therefore, we MUST receive the $25.00 payment (plus fees) for 1000 tags before the GA MVD will produce the tags and make the tags available for your pickup. We will keep you updated on how close we are to collecting the fees for the 1000 tags needed to meet this requirement. Bookmark this site and check the progress bar.
Update as of 4/1/22 - We have collected the $25,000 required to begin the manufacturing process. If you wish to be one of the first 1000 residents to own a tag, you can still make payment for your manufacturing fee here.

After 1000 orders received, We will submit a $25,000 payment to the MVD then the MVD will send you a certified receipt.
Your certified receipt will be used to show proof of your pre-payment of the Manufacturing Fee.
Tags will be READY for pick-up from your local county office within the next 2 months (target by end of June 2022). Additional fees MAY be applicable, see above section. Fees depend on the time of year and time of renewal of your vehicle. Example: If your birthday is in Jan 2022, you have renewed your current car tag, then TU Tags become available in May 2022, you will ONLY be required to pay the Special Tag Fee and show your receipt for pre-payment of the Manufacturing fee - send email to admin@tutagga.com if you have additional questions.
Vehicle owners can PICK up their Tag anytime of the year

Specialty Issue Tags must be sponsored by a non-profit located in the State of Georgia.
ATAC is the sponsoring non-profit.
Senate Bill SB-137 was passed to allow revenue share model between the State and ATAC
Per GA code Section 40-2-86 "$10 is to be dedicated to the sponsoring agency". GA Revenue code can be found HERE
Revenue generated from the sale of Tuskegee University Specialty License Plates in the State of Georgia will be used to make annual contributions to the Atlanta Tuskegee Alumni Club Endowed Scholarship fund, as well as provide book scholarships, emergency student support, new school year student gifts, and to raise awareness about Tuskegee University in the State of Georgia.
Annual use of Funds statement will be provided by ATAC
